Paris, the capital and largest city of France, is one of themost populous cities in the country as well as in Europe having a population of more than ten million (as of Jan, 2008). Prior to 19th century, Paris was the largest city in the western world for more than thousand years. And, between 16th and 19th century, Paris was the largest city in the world. As its olden days, Paris is still one of the world’s most important business and cultural center. Fortunately, you have a great opportunity to cut your cost for travelling by train to Paris from a number of cities in Europe. It’s the cheapest mean to travel to Paris from most part of Europe. As example, you can go to Paris from London by spending only € 38, while travelling from Cologne and Amsterdam will cost € 35, from Munich it will cost € 38 and from Geneva € 56. There are many more cities from where you can go to Paris by train.

More than 70 million people visit Paris every year. I think, this piece of information is enough to make you understand that Paris is quite an expensive city to visit. And, expenses for accommodation can really shock your wallet up! Paris is always ready to welcome you with warmest hospitality at the world’s most luxurious hotels if you want and can afford those. But, if you can’t, don’t worry. You can find some affordable hotel at convenient locations. The best example of cheap hotels in Paris is Hotel Vintage.
